McCormick Resigns As North American Weight Watchers President
December 8, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Weight Watchers International, Inc. (NYSE: WTW) said that Steven McCormick has resigned as its president of North America, effective December 9. The company said it will begin a national search to fill the job. In the interim, David Kirchhoff, president and CEO, will assume day-to-day oversight of Weight Watchers’ North American meetings operations, including its North American products, publishing and licensing businesses.
Weight Watchers said that McCormick’s resignation is prompted by the opportunity to accept the position of CEO of LALA U.S., a dairy product and beverage manufacturer based in Dallas, Texas.
