Duff spent eighteen years at Coeur d'Alene Mines, working in various positions. In his latest post Duff was responsible for Coeur's underground gold and silver mining operations in Chile and Argentina and the development and start-up of the 5,000 ton per day San Bartolome silver mine in Bolivia.
Spokane, Washington-based Minera Andes is a gold, silver and copper exploration company working in Argentina. The company holds around 304,000 acres of mineral exploration land in Argentina. Minera Andes holds a 49 percent interest in the San Jose Project, an operating gold and silver mine.
Minera Andes is also exploring the Los Azules copper project in San Juan province, where it has completed an exploration program. The company is evaluating other exploration properties, primarily silver and gold, in southern Argentina.
