Artist Yury Kharchenko In Exhibitions To Help the UNHCR
Yury Kharchenko Donates Artwork to Exhibition to Raise Funds For Refugees
BERLIN, GERMANY, October 14, 2020 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The Russian-German artist Yury Kharchenko will participate in the upcoming “Heart – 100 Artists. 1 Mission” exhibition to take place in the Hamburger Kunsthalle from October 20 - November 8, 2020. This exhibition then continues to the Berlinische Galerie from November 18-26, 2020.The “Heart – 100 Artists. 1 Mission” is a first-of-its-kind project to raise funds for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and to aid initiatives that help refugees in Germany. In a state-approved lottery, the project will sell tickets for €40 each with the proceeds from the first 25,000 tickets donated to the UNHCR. Each ticket gives the holder the chance to win an artwork from the exhibition, all of which have been donated by the 100 participating artists, including Yury Kharchenko. The exhibition is organized by UNO-Flüchtingshilfe (U.N. Refugee Aid – Germany) in an effort to spread a strong signal of humanity and solidarity to the tens of millions of people that are fleeing their homes worldwide. Since its beginning in Bonn, Germany in 1980, UNO-Flüchtingshilfe has worked to improve living conditions for refugees worldwide and to help integrate them in new host countries.
