AU wants Angola to train specialists in statistics
Yandiswa Morudu made such a recommendation when she was speaking to the press after a meeting with MPs from the Commission of Economy and Finances of the National Assembly (Parliament), in which it was analysed the peers of the Angolan national statistics system.
She also advised all the institutions that work with statistics in the country to have at least three or four specialists in statistics, with a view to improving the work of presenting indicators.
The chairman of the Fifth Commission of Economy and Finances of the National Assembly, Diógenes de Oliveira, welcomed the idea and defended that the adequate structuring of statistics in Africa will help the continent be in better position to deal with or rival with data from the European Union (EU), International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank (WB) and other zones of the world.
