Gazpromneft-Aero, operator of the Gazprom Neft aviation refuelling business, has, on the basis of 2017 year-end results, sold more than 940,000 tonnes of aviation fuels at Sheremetyevo airport — a year-on-year increase of 10 percent.
This sales growth has been achieved as a result of increasing flights by air carriers, including Volga-Dnepr, Northwind Airlines, Royal Flight Airlines and Adria Airways, as well as through operations commencing with new partners including Beijing Capital Airlines (China), Lucky Air (China), Flydubai (UAE), China Eastern Airlines (China), KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (Netherlands), Air France (France), and Sichuan Airlines (China). Gazpromneft-Aero is now supplying the aircraft of 34 carriers, 25 of which are international.
Gazpromneft-Aero established its own refuelling facilities for operations at Sheremetyevo in 2012, with that facility certified as meeting IATA’s highest quality standards in aviation refuelling since 2013. The facility operates 25 cutting-edge refuelling tankers, all of which, moreover, are equipped with automatic fuel metering technology.
Vladimir Egorov, CEO, Gazpromneft-Aero, commented: “The Sheremetyevo refuelling complex is today the most modern, and the most high-tech such facility in Russia, with various digital transformation initiatives being undertaken therein — including automated process control systems and the online monitoring of fuel products at every stage, from inbound receipt from suppliers to ‘wing-tip’ deliveries to aircraft. We are committed to expanding our network of partners still further throughout Russia’s leading airports, guaranteeing high quality fuels. Throughout its operations Gazpromneft-Aero has, traditionally, been managed in line with both Russian and international standards, actively implementing international industry best practices in Russia.”
