Airbus Group Employees Make Donation To The Red Cross’ Philippine Typhoon Appeal
Airbus Group Chief Human Resources Officer Thierry Baril on behalf of Airbus Group employees, has handed over a cheque of € 117,000 to The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), represented by Birgitte Stalder-Olsen, Head of Global Logistics Service for the IFRC.
This amount was collected from donations by Airbus Group employees to support those in the Philippines affected by Typhoon Haiyan which hit the country in November 2013, killing thousands of people and causing enormous damage to the country’s communities and infrastructure.
“I am proud and grateful for the strong engagement and solidarity demonstrated by employees all across the Group,” said Thierry Baril. “It is only natural that international corporations such as Airbus Group contribute to supporting people who are suddenly struck by natural disasters of this scale. We hope that this donation will provide at least some relief to those in need.”
