Sweden to host informal meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs in Helsingborg in May 2026
SWEDEN, April 9 - In May 2026, Sweden will host the informal meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs. Helsingborg has been confirmed as the location of the meeting.
“I am proud to announce that next year, Sweden will host the informal meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs in Skåne. I look forward to welcoming my counterparts to a strategically important region. Helsingborg’s location on the Öresund strait, which is one of the world’s busiest straits and the entrance to the Baltic Sea, links the Nordic region and Europe,” says Sweden’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Maria Malmer Stenergard.
Preparations for the meeting have begun and are closely coordinated with NATO, whose Secretary-General will chair the meeting.
