In his first visit to the CNMI, United States Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall Secretary visited Saipan and Tinian. On Saipan, Secretary Kendall was greeted by Governor Arnold Palacios and Lt. Governor David Apatang. They were joined by Commonwealth Ports Authority Board Chairperson Joe Ayuyu and CPA Executive Director Leo B. Tudela. In their discussion, the Governor and Secretary talked about Air Force activities in the CNMI, including the divert airfield on Tinian, among other Air Force initiatives in the CNMI.
