Gov. Spencer Cox signs first bill of the 2024 General Legislative Session
SALT LAKE CITY (Jan. 19, 2024) – Gov. Spencer J. Cox signed Senate Bill 89, Social Media Modifications today. This is the first bill of the 2024 General Legislative Session to be signed by Gov. Cox.
Gov. Cox issued the following statement on S.B. 89:
“While pushing back the effective date gives us more time to incorporate more feedback into the law, we are as committed as ever to protecting our children from the harms of social media.”
