California’s assault weapons ban can stay in place while 9th Circuit considers case
A panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals voted 2-1 Saturday to grant the state’s request for a stay of the Oct. 19 ruling by U.S. District Judge Roger Benitez of San Diego that the 1989 law violates the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.
