ZATCA Foils an Attempt to Smuggle 932,980 Captagon Pills in a Pomegranate Shipment at Duba Port
The Captagon pills have been found concealed in a shipment labeled as Pomegranates.
ZATCA clarified that a shipment labeled as Pomegranates arrived at Duba Port. Upon checking the shipment by the customs procedures and security screening using advanced technologies, the pills were discovered concealed within the cavities of the pomegranate fruits.
After the Captagon pills were seized, the two contraband recipients inside the Kingdom were arrested in coordination with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC), ZATCA added.
ZATCA stressed its commitment to apply strict customs control over the imports and exports against smuggling attempts into the Kingdom. This commitment aligns with ZATCA's strategic pillars of enhancing the security and protection of society by curtailing attempts to smuggle prohibited substances and other illicit goods.
