SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On December 10th, 2021, the Vermont State Police were called to a death investigation in Sunderland VT. The decedent was identified at Bryan Hawley. The investigation determined Hawley died from an accidental overdose of Fentanyl and Tramadol combination. After a lengthy investigation, Amanda Morey was arrested on March 23rd 2023 for Selling or Dispensing a regulated drug to Bryan Hawley ultimately resulting in his death. Morey was released on conditions and scheduled to appear in Bennington County Criminal Court on March 24th 2023 at 12:30 hours. Vermont State Police detectives are continuing to investigate, and additional charges are likely.
