"They have a long litany of problems," Assembly Judiciary Chair Brian Maienschein, D-San Diego, told the Daily Journal on Monday. "I intend to have a firm hand with them." Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon, D-Lakewood, named Maienschein as the committee's new chair on Dec. 22. He said one of the first things he did was to hold an "introductory" meeting with State Bar officials.
