Our common home: bridging science and faith for a more sustainable world

At a virtual launch event, on Tuesday, 14 February at 15:00 CET, the new booklet and companion website – available in English, French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish – will be unveiled. The booklet distils the science on urgent environmental issues and explains how individuals and communities can take action to build a more sustainable and socially just future. It provides succinct, but scientifically robust overviews of the climate crisis, biodiversity, water resources management, air pollution, and sustainable food production, describing what needs to change and offering multiple ways to take action.

The launch event will combine perspectives from faith and science. We will also hear from Catholics around the world who have heeded the call of Laudato si’ to protect our living planet.

  • Andrés Jato, Sweden’s Ambassador to the Holy See
