Members of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Prosecutor General’s Office Complete the Investigating the Dark Web (IDW) Training

Vice-rector of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies in Nur-Sultan Maralbek Eshimov and Assistant Regional Security Officer Ben Woods congratulated members of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Prosecutor General’s Office on completing the Investigating the Dark Web (IDW) training. The one-week course was held at the PGO’s Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies where participants learned the investigation of cases involving the dark web. The training provides an understanding of the dark web, safe methods to navigate the dark web, and means to capture and preserve dark web evidence.

The course was sponsored by the U.S. State Department and delivered by instructors from the Antiterrorism Assistance Program. The Office of Anti-Terrorism Assistance, in addition to the training provided to the Academy of Law Enforcement, gifted the equipment utilized in the training to the Academy to further improve the Academy’s capacity to conduct training in the future.
