TAJIKISTAN, July 12 - On July 12, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, Chairman of the Majlisi milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mayor of the city of Dushanbe Rustami Emomali and Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Qohir Rasulzoda got familiar with the progress of construction work on the main dam of the Rogun hydroelectric power plant.

The volume of processing, leveling and removal of various materials during the cleaning of the left and right banks and the foundation of the core of the Rogun hydroelectric dam is 2.6 million cubic meters.

The laying of M300 grade leveling concrete began at a mark of 960 meters according to the terrain and was laid in a volume of 8000 cubic meters.

Once the leveling concrete is completed, the crushed concrete will be poured into the base of the dam core.

The main foundation of crushed concrete, which consists of 8 parts, is 172 meters long and 133 meters wide.

The width of the parts will be from 20 to 25 meters, and the height of the crushed concrete will be 27 meters.

The width of the core at 1300 meters is 20 meters and at 961 meters is 172 meters.

The length of the core comb at level 1300 is 750 meters and at level 961 is 70 meters.

Alumina crushed stone is used as the material for the main core, which, according to the project, is 7.4 million cubic meters.

At this facility, construction and installation work is carried out by workers and specialists of CJSC "Tojikhydroelectromontazh".

To date, stone and gravel work in the dam has reached 1125 meters above sea level.

An anti-pollution geomembrane material has been laid in the dam of the power plant from a mark of 1000 meters to a mark of 1080 meters on an area of 66,000 square meters.

For transportation and layer-by-layer laying of the dam material, workers and specialists use heavy vehicles and equipment, bulldozers, excavators and other necessary mechanisms, and work at this facility is carried out around the clock.

The total volume of stone and gravel works on the main dam to date is 16.7 million cubic meters.

Including earthworks - 2 million 195 thousand 800 cubic meters, stone and gravel laying - 14 million 367 thousand 243 cubic meters, stone laying - 2 million 128 thousand 755 cubic meters and filter laying - 211 thousand 201 cubic meters.

The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, during the inspection, instructed the responsible persons to give priority to the quality of work.

At present, the water level in the reservoir is 1070 meters above sea level.

The upper level of the reservoir after the full filling of the reservoir will be 1,290 meters above sea level.

The dam's laying volume is 80 million cubic meters, and the reservoir area is 170 square kilometers.

Construction work on the dam of the power plant is carried out by domestic and foreign companies with the attraction of highly qualified workers and specialists.
