TAJIKISTAN, June 11 - This morning, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, held a telephone conversation with the chairmen of Khatlon and Sughd provinces, Rasht, Nurobod, Tojikobod, Lakhsh and Sangvor districts and heard their reports on the status of work in the direction of agricultural production, including the progress of collecting cereals.

The head of state gave specific instructions to the chairmen of the above-mentioned regions and districts to ensure the efficient use of presidential plots and household plots, speed up re-sowing in order to increase production, and, in particular, to the chairmen of the Rasht Valley districts to increase potato production and its yield, as well as strictly observe the Law of the Republic Tajikistan "On streamlining traditions, celebrations and rituals" and to prevent all kinds of waste and excess.

President Emomali Rahmon also resolutely demanded, taking into account the situation in the world community, the reduction of food products and the rapid rise in prices, to give serious and priority attention to the use of all available resources and opportunities to increase food production and food supplies in each family.
