Manufacturing: Colfax Unit Wins Euro 5 Million Iraq Order

(NYSE: CFX), a provider of fluid-handling solutions, said that its Allweiler AG business unit will deliver a euro five million fuel-injection skid order through Siemens AG for use in gas turbines in Iraq.

The skids will be used for power plant expansions in Kirkuk as well as new plants being built in Baiji and Baghdad, according to Colfax. The first two skids will be completed in early 2011. The Iraqi Ministry of Electricity has ordered an additional five and has options to purchase three more.

Virginia-based Colfax, through its global operating subsidiaries, manufactures positive displacement industrial pumps and valves used in oil & gas, power generation, commercial marine, defense and general industrial markets.

Germany-based Allweiler AG is a pump manufacturer focused on macerators and centrifugal, propeller, screw, progressing cavity, cogwheel, rotary lobe and peristaltic pumps.
