Inspiring Song Especially Around The Holidays '65 Roses' Country Song For A Cause

New York, New York. December 14, 2009 -- Inspired by his nephew Jake, Joe Bayer and his band wrote and composed "65 Roses" a country song about the struggles with Cystic Fibrosis and the courageous people who fight the disease everyday. Jake along with 30,000 Americans, 3,000 Canadiens, 1 in 46 Hispanics, 1 in 65 African Americans and 1 in 90 Asians all suffer with this hereditary disorder. The Joe Bayer Band hopes the song will bring much needed help to a charity for the disease and help those who are affected. The song will be available for sale online in digital format from which all proceeds will go to a CF charity.

Cystic Fibrosis is a disease caused by a hereditary gene from which a thick and sticky mucus forms on the digestive track and lungs causing chronic lung infections sometimes becoming fatal. The most common symptoms associated with this disease are a persistent and constant cough often followed by shortness of breath however soreness and fatigue of the whole body are also known symptoms as well. There is no known cures at this time but with enough resources this disease can be fought and defeated.

"65 Roses" which is a registered trademark of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation actually comes from the way a specific child pronounced the words Cystic Fibrosis. Mary G. Weiss became a volunteer for the foundation in 1965. Her three sons all suffered from the disease so she became very active in her duties, one of them to call different civic and social clubs seeking support. One day she was confronted by her youngest son who was four years old. He came to her and said "I know what your working for" his answer "You are working for 65 Roses" Mary with a tear, didn't know what to say but " yes Richard, I'm working for 65 Roses."

The song will be available by Janurary and benefit shows are also in the works for 2010 as well. A new video should be out by the third week in December so watch out for that. Listen for and request "65 Roses" on your local radio station. Please help Joe and the band along with Jake and everyone fighting this disease to stop it in it's tracks and find a cure.
