"You Wanna Go to Willard?" by Linda M. Holbrook sends a positive message to never give up in the face of hardship
CANISTEO, N.Y. (MMD Newswire) March 19,2009 -- "You Wanna Go to Willard?" is a new fictional book based on the life experiences of author Linda M. Holbrook, who wants women to know that if they look hard enough, there can be life after hardship. "I just wanted to tell other women how your life can improve when you make your own decisions and live your own life," says Holbrook.
"You Wanna Go to Willard?" follows the unguided career and life path of a young woman, Laura, after high school as she blindly stumbles through a trail of trial-and-error decisions. Despite her lack of direction, the young woman is driven to find happiness and refuses to give up on her hunt, even if she's not sure what happiness exactly means for her.
Holbrook, who lived through her own hardships in a former dysfunctional relationship, hopes female readers will discover a way to prepare for life's unexpected challenges without giving up. "Life's comfort zones are just coffee breaks until the next unfamiliar challenge," she says. "Find someone, something, to help if you are too weak to face the challenge alone. Just know you will find what you are seeking if you don't give in to others and sacrifice your own desires."
