Bill Zucker's Tarp Song and video Uniting Americans Against Bailout
Miami, FL (MMD Newswire) January 29, 2009 -- News on Bill Zucker's Tarp Song, "I want some Tarp", seems to keep growing every day. With a thousand sites popping up on the internet, Americans have been urging Zucker to run for president in 2012.
It seems that people have made his song and viral video the focal point in the fight against the wasteful handouts of taxpayer's money to big business without any transparency. There are some that refer to him as the "modern day Robin Hood" trying to take from the rich to give to the poor.
Zucker says when the L.A. Times called to interview him about the rumors about Bill Zucker for President in 2012, he laughed. However, the truth is Zucker is receiving emails from all over the U.S. about foreclosures, loss of retirement funds, unemployment and he says people are looking to him as the answer to their problems.
It all started a few weeks ago when the song debuted on CNBC's Power lunch and was played repeatedly in the 2 hour show. From the release of Tarp song, I want some tarp, Zucker says his life has totally changed. He now is so busy with TV, radio, newspaper, and magazine interviews. In a Fox national interview with Neil Cavuto from NYC to Zucker in Miami, Cavuto said "Bills Song has summed up what all Americans are feeling in only 3 minutes". The major news outlets have said that Zucker's song has immortalized the tarp bailout plan forever in a song.
Zucker has put together a website to talk to people at www.billzucker.com with the help of Todd Pitt who sent Bill an email thanking him after seeing the video on youtube. Pitt is a social media Ninja from Noth Carolina and hosts zerostrategist.com. One event that Zucker has in the making is the "Million Tarphead Dance on Washington this spring where the Tarpheads would dance up Pennsylvania Ave to the steps of the capitol building.
The tarp dance was invented by Bill Zucker as a parody on the whole government bailout and can be seen in Zucker's viral video on youtube.com. The tarp song, "I want some tarp" is selling on Amazon, itunes and other mp3 sites on the web for 99 cents.
Bill Zucker says he is just going with the flow and remarks "this is bigger than I ever expected. Its out of my hands now and I'm just along for the ride" he laughed. He says he never thought he'd be able to make such a depressing subject so funny but "I feel good that I am making people laugh in such dismal times." Interviewed by Boston Herald, San Diego Tribune, USA Today, TV Guide, Miami Herald, etc, it has become an internet sensation. Cavuto said "Bill Zuckers Tarp Song will be bigger than Obama girl".
The video has been called Hilarious and witty and to view comments go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGfQk9XXm24
