About the Author
Starting out as both a mediator and an attorney, John Fiske currently focuses mainly on mediation. After graduating from Yale in 1958 and Michigan Law School in 1961, Fiske joined Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam & Roberts in New York City and then Choate, Hall and Stewart in Boston in 1964. He was First Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Boston and Legal Advisor to the Boston Police Department from 1968 to 1974. Following, he became Executive Secretary to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and has been with Healy Fiske & Richmond since the first of September of 1979.
Having probably mediated about 2,000 divorces, separations and contracts to stay married since 1979, John has expanded his practice to include a broad range of disputes, from siblings trying to decide questions of care of a relative to a father and son reaching a financial agreement.
