PECO to Restrict Route 3 (Gay Street) and Church Street Next Week for Utility Improvement in West Chester Borough

01/12/2022

King of Prussia, PA – PECO is planning a single lane closure on Route 3 (Gay Street) between New Street and Church Street, and on Church Street between Route 3 (Gay Street) and Dean Street in West Chester Borough, Chester County, on Monday, January 17, through Friday, January 21, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.

PECO will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions on 2,900 miles, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
