Fish and Game wants to hear from you on upland game, turkey and furbearer season proposals in the Panhandle and elsewhere in the state

Sportsmen input on proposed regulation changes helps wildlife managers understand sportsmen preferences and shapes hunting and trapping seasons for the next two years.

Fish and Game is currently seeking public comments on statewide upland game, turkey and furbearer season proposals for 2022-2023. There are two proposed regulation changes in the Panhandle Region that Fish and Game would like to hear sportsmen's thoughts on. This is your opportunity to actively participate in the decisions Fish and Game makes.

Providing comments is easy and takes less than a few minutes. Click on each proposal below to provide your comments.

Panhandle Region Proposal #1

Create archery-only upland game animal/bird seasons to be consistent with current archery white-tailed deer season (November 1 – December 1) on Farragut State Park/WMA.

Panhandle Region Proposal #2

Create an archery-only spring turkey hunt from April 15 – April 30 and an archery-only fall turkey hunt to be consistent with current archery white-tailed deer season from November 1 – December 1 on Farragut State Park/WMA.

Comments will be taken until Friday Dec. 10.  You can also come by the Panhandle Regional office to submit your comments and chat with a biologist during an upcoming open house on Wednesday, Dec. 8 from 5 – 7 p.m. at 2885 W Kathleen Ave in Couer d’Alene.  For more on other open houses across the state, click here.
