This is our culture at Mainstreet. We’re about inclusion, about doing the right thing, and about giving back.”
— Sheena Keslick, Mainstreet Vice-President of Operations
SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN, CANADA, September 22, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Mainstreet Equity Corp. (TSX: MEQ), Canada's leading real estate corporation on the TSX, specializing in mid-market apartment rentals in Saskatoon and throughout Western Canada, in partnership with RKG Consulting, today announced they have completed a city-wide corporate clothing drive to provide some winter essentials to Saskatonians in need, a gift they’ll be complimenting with a financial donation as well.

The announcement was made this week by Sheena Keslick, Vice-President of Operations for Mainstreet. “We are citizens of this community, and we believe that our city will only overcome the challenges we face by standing together, and that means putting in the work to bridge gaps where we notice them.” Keslick continued, “We believe in Saskatoon; we believe in giving back.”

Conceived in response to a need expressed by local community agency Prairie Harm Reduction, the campaign lasted the duration of the summer and focused on collecting new pairs of socks to be distributed over the coming colder months. In addition to the thousands of socks collected, the gift will also include a large monetary donation. The gift represents a combined effort between Mainstreet Equity Corp.’s Saskatoon team and RKG Consulting, a Canadian business consulting firm.

“We were pleased to contribute to this important community effort,” said Kim Yardley, Director at RKG Consulting. “Saskatoon is a beautiful city with so much going for it, we’re proud to be part of such a thoughtful grassroots effort.”

The clothing drive was led by the onsite team at Mainstreet’s many apartment buildings around the city, with Mainstreet team members using their own time to meet the goal. “We’re so proud of the passion and drive our team put into this effort,” Keslick said. “This is our culture at Mainstreet. We’re about inclusion, about doing the right thing, and about giving back.”

The cheque and the clothing donation will be presented to Prairie Harm Reduction in a formal ceremony at the newly-renovated Mainstreet 1320 apartment building. Details are as follows:

Where: Mainstreet 1320 Office - 1320 20th Street West, Saskatoon, SK
