Lawmakers Reject Permanent Use of Remote Witness Technology
Remote testimony is currently allowed under an emergency pandemic order aimed at reducing the number of people who enter California’s courthouses. But that order is temporary, and the practice must end 90 days after the governor lifts the COVID-19 state of emergency.
