August 8, 2021 Vehicle Sought in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) Offense: 200 Block of 37th Street, Southeast (Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sixth District seek the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, August 8, 2021, in the 200 block of 37th Street, Southeast. At approximately 2:32 am, members of the Sixth District were in the area of the listed location when they heard the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, members located an adult female victim suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
