**PHOTO RELEASE** CFO and State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis Tours Vaccine Distribution Center and Highlights Florida’s Firefighters Fight Against COVID-19 

TAMPA, Fla. — Today, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis met with the Hillsborough County Fire Chief Dennis Jones and toured the COVID-19 vaccine distribution center at the University Mall in Tampa. The CFO highlighted Florida’s firefighters and the work they are doing to combat the COVID-19 virus. Since last March, the CFO has had numerous calls with fire service leaders across the state to make sure they have everything they need to keep Floridians safe.

CFO and State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis said, “It was an honor to join Chief Jones today in Hillsborough County and tour the COVID-19 vaccine distribution center with local firefighters. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Florida’s firefighters have been on the frontlines fighting this virus and it is critical we do everything we can to support them. These heroes have been an incredible asset to local county health departments as they have stepped up to help Floridians get vaccinated and keep our communities safe. As State Fire Marshal, I will continue working every day to protect our firefighters and make sure they are prioritized when it comes to vaccinations.”
