DHEC Lifts Temporary Swimming Advisories at Singleton Swash and 11th Avenue North in Horry County

COLUMBIA, S.C.  ̶  Sections of beach along South Carolina's coast are no longer under swim advisories, the Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) reported today.

The affected areas were the public access point at Singleton Swash at Myrtle Beach and 11th Avenue North at Surfside Beach.

Bacteria levels have returned to normal.

DHEC routinely collects water samples at more than 120 locations along South Carolina's beaches to monitor bacteria levels. Please visit scdhec.gov/BeachMonitoring for more information and to view recent water sampling results along the coast.
