TALLAHASSEE, Fla.— As Santa Claus approaches Florida this Christmas Eve, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis issued the following fireplace safety alert:
“Please make sure all fireplaces are extinguished to allow Santa Claus a safe entry down the chimney and into your homes tonight. You can use Santa trackers available online to stay updated on his journey as he travels the world to bring children their Christmas gifts, and don't forget to put out the milk and cookies. But most importantly, enjoy this holiday season with your loved ones! Merry Christmas!”
