Milling and Paving to Begin This Week on Route 2014 (West Fourth Street) in Williamsport
Montoursville, PA – The reconstruction project on Route 2014 (West Fourth Street) in the Newberry section of the City of Williamsport, Lycoming County is progressing.
Beginning this week, the contractor, Wolyniec Construction, Inc., will start milling Route 2014 (West Fourth Street) between Arch Street and Oliver Avenue in preparation for the final wearing course to be placed in early June.
Motorist should expect single lane closures using daylight flagging.
The last section of full depth reconstruction is scheduled for after Memorial Day from Foresman Street to Hillside Drive.
Work is expected to be completed in Fall of 2020.
This work is part of a $5.8 million 2-year reconstruction project on Route 2014 (West Fourth Street) in the Newberry section of the City of Williamsport.
Motorists are should expect travel delays and lane changes. Motorists are urged to slow down, drive with caution, and be alert for stopped or slow-moving vehicles.
Work on this project will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, which will include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the jobsite, and relevant training.
