Segment Named One of Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces in 2019

Recognized by National Business Publication for High Employee Satisfaction and Standout Employee Engagement

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., May 16, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Segment, the customer data infrastructure company, has been named one of Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces for 2019. The magazine works in partnership with Quantum Workplace, a leading HR technology company, to produce an annual ranking of the best companies to work for in the private sector in the United States.

/EIN News/ -- Inc. Magazine surveyed employees at nearly 2,000 companies to identify organizations that have created truly exceptional workplaces. Each participating company took part in an employee survey on topics including trust, management effectiveness, perks, and confidence in the future. Inc. gathered, analyzed, and audited the data, identifying 346 winning companies.

Segment earned an overall score of 92.54 out of 100 points. 90% of employees surveyed feel that they are highly engaged in the workplace, and 92% believe that senior leaders value people as Segment’s most important resource.

“Since the beginning, Segment has strived to create a workplace culture that not only encourages great work, but also inclusivity, accountability, and career growth,” said Adriana Roche, Vice President of People and Places at Segment. “We value our people above all else, and it is extremely rewarding to be named to Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces list. As we continue to grow, it will always be our top priority to ensure that employees feel deeply engaged and that their work makes a difference, no matter their role.”

Inc. found that the strongest engagement scores among the thousands of companies surveyed came from organizations that prioritize employee recognition, performance management, and diversity.

“With today's tight labor market, building a great corporate culture is more important than ever,” said Inc. Magazine editor-in-chief James Ledbetter. “The companies on Inc.'s Best Workplaces list are setting an example that the whole country can learn from."
