Washington, D.C., April 12, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Experts from the American Institutes for Research (AIR) will present at several sessions during the annual conference of the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES), being held April 14-18 in San Francisco, California. 

The theme for this year’s conference is “Education for Sustainability,” and will explore questions about what type of development is spread through literacy, skills training and formal schooling, and how that development affects society. CIES is the largest and oldest comparative and international society in the world, with more than 3,000 members representing more than 1,000 research institutes, government departments, non-governmental organizations and multilateral agencies across the globe. 

AIR experts will present on a wide range of international topics, including child literacy, assessments, adult skills and competencies, teacher preparation, research methodology and more. A list of sessions featuring AIR experts is below. See the full program on the CIES conference website.
