Top 40 Accounting Firm Expands Financial Services Group with Former Banking Executive

NASHVILLE, Tenn., March 25, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Elliott Davis, a leading business solutions firm with nine offices across the Southeast, today announced that Tommy Tynes will join its Financial Services Group.  With more than 25 years of experience in a variety of senior roles at several large financial institutions, Tynes will further strengthen the strategic offerings Elliott Davis delivers to its clients. He will focus specifically on the firm’s growth in Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee.

Tynes focuses primarily on risk advisory services, consulting on key issues facing clients in the financial services industry. Previously, Tynes served as the senior vice president of credit risk analytics at Regions Bank, where he reported to the chief credit officer, and had responsibility for credit reporting, credit MIS and allowance for credit losses. Before that, he was the chief risk and compliance officer at Colonial Bank, overseeing risk management, compliance, internal audit and security departments with over 100 associates.  Previously, he was with AmSouth Bank, where he was chief financial officer for the consumer line of business, which represented 70% of consolidated earnings of the company. Tynes started his career at PwC, where he worked as a certified public accountant (CPA) and audit manager.
