Ruling Party prioritises dialogue on its 2019 political agenda
The programme, launched last Saturday in Luanda by the party's vice president, Luísa Damião, in the area of internal issues the MPLA seeks to promote within the organisation’s structures and at grassroots better integration of its militants in society.
The MPLA wants to disseminate and defend its main positions in the political, economic and social context and define a new strategy for the functioning of the party's digital platforms, always aiming for greater interaction with the people, promoting studies and training for the correct use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs).
The party also proposes itself to implement the strategy for the coming municipal elections, in its different stages, and to disseminate at the level of the intermediary structures and at grassroots the regulation on the internal selection of the candidates for the local elections.
As for citizenship and moralization of society the party will continue to promote a comprehensive programme to retrieve good civic, moral and patriotic habits and values ??and respect for public assets, involving structures, militants and other civil society organizations.
It will also encourage the militants of all structures and citizens in general, in the prevention and fight against corruption, impunity, flattery and nepotism, money laundering and other evils that have caused damage to the State and curtailed the welfare and the social progress of the Angolan people.
The agenda also foresees the monitoring and adequacy of the implementation of the National Development Plan (NDP) 2018-2022 and the various executive governance programmes, with emphasis on the implementation of the Support Programme for Production Boost, Diversification of Exports and Substitution of Imports (PRODESI).
The need to draft measures for a broader and deeper state reform that will enable it to be more effective, efficient, streamlined and closer to citizens' problems was also highlighted by the ruling party’s vice president.
