Head of State hopeful in improvement of political environment in DRC
Luanda, ANGOLA, December 21 - The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, said Friday that he hoped the political climate in the neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) would improve considerably, on the eve of elections. ,
"We know that there is some turmoil and our desire is that the situation returns to normal and that citizens can exercise, on December 30th, in a quiet manner, their right to vote," he said.
The President stressed it during the collective interview held in the Presidential Palace, refusing to present his more detailed opinion on the electoral process under way in that country, considering that the moment is "proper to each State."
This is the second meeting of its kind since he took office on 26 September 2017, with the first meeting held on 8 January, during the first 100 days of governance.
