This system is mounted on a square aluminum tube dolly cart with wheels, providing the portability required to position the unit near a 480V power source.

The HAL-MGL-480.3P-15KVA-2X480.60-6X120.20 portable power distribution system allows operators to power 480V and 120V equipment from a single system. The primary side allows 480V line-in power to be connected through a customer-provided cord. Operators can connect 480V equipment to two, 60-amp, 480V FSQC5640 Class I, Division 1 receptacles. The secondary side allows operators to connect to six, 20-amp, 120V Class I, Division 1 receptacles for 120V equipment.

Through a customer provided cord, 480V three-phase power transfers to the 125-amp rated 480V three-phase main panel containing two, 60-amp breakers that protect two, 60-amp 480V FSQC5640 receptacles. This 15 KVA transformer converts 480V three-phase power to 208Y/120V three phase and transfers the current to the secondary panel, which feeds a 41.6-amp rated 208Y/120V three-phase main lug panel. This secondary panel features six, 20-amp 120V breakers that protect six, 20-amp 120V receptacles, which are all equipped with weatherproof covers.

Larson Electronics’ durable and portable power distribution station is grounded to the frame with a grounding lug provided to customers. Suitable applications for this unit include use in indoor or outdoor settings in hazardous locations such as shipyards, construction sites, and where plant maintenance and turnaround occur.

“This portable power distribution system is a very reliable option for remote or temporary worksites where external power sources are needed for equipment,” said Rob Bresnahan, CEO of Larson Electronics LLC. “Operators have the flexibility to power 120 and 480-volt equipment from a single source, which is extremely convenient for applications where a lot is going on.”
