MacB to Host Fifth Annual Oktoberfest Celebration in Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio, Oct. 01, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), an Alion company, announced today that valued customers, partners, employees, and city officials are invited to attend the company’s Fifth Annual Oktoberfest Celebration on Thursday, October 4 from 3 to 7 p.m. at MacB’s Dayton Corporate Headquarters. With Alion acquiring MacB in August 2018, this year’s festivities will be attended by Alion Science and Technology President and Chief Executive Officer Steve Schorer, and MacB President Sid Fuchs. The event, hosted by MacB’s Advanced Technology Group (ATG), will once again be catered by the well-known Schmidt’s Restaurant and Sausage Haus in Columbus.

ATG offers a full range of innovative technology, engineering, scientific, and technical services that includes Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), Cybersecurity, Logistics and Life Cycle Management, and System Integration Laboratories. A majority of the group’s work is performed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and at MacB Integrated Laboratories in multiple locations, including the Wright Innovation Lab in Dayton. The group delivers mission-centric requirements for multiple programs, organizations, and strategic accounts including the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), the Air Force Flight Test Center (AFTC), and the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC).

The Wright Innovation Lab was officially opened by ATG in October 2016 for use by MacB’s Electronic Warfare (EW) customers. The lab accommodates the design, integration, and testing of prototype sensor systems and subsystems for multiple Air Force programs and warfighter capabilities.

“For five years, it’s been my distinct pleasure to host Oktoberfest to not only celebrate MacB program achievements with our technical teams, but also with our valued coworkers in other departments who work so hard behind-the-scenes to make us successful,” said Tim Lawrence, Senior Vice President and General Manager of ATG. “It’s also a way to thank our long-term customers and partners, and connect on a personal level in an informal environment. We’re also looking forward to working with our new Alion coworkers to expand MacB’s long-term technical and tactical objectives on a larger scale in 2019 and beyond.”
