BANGALORE, KARNATAKA, INDIA, September 23, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- A niche audience, great ratings on Amazon India and Goodreads, yet limited discoverability meant a really intriguing story was confined to a small audience; in September, 2018, author, Debarshi Kanjilal, made amends. 'Based on Lies: Crimes of Love' is now available in print across the world through Amazon and in India through Notion Press. It is also available as e-book from several retailers, such as, Amazon Kindle, Apple iBooks, Barnes and Noble, Google Play Books, Kobo, etc.

I believe that Based on Lies is a story that pushes the state of independent Indian writing to a certain amount of credibility that it currently lacks. Also, as per the author, the book is better literature and more compelling than most books written by the likes of Chetan Bhagat, one of India's most successful traditionally published authors.

Based on Lies is planned to be a series of two crime fiction/psychological thriller books, of which, Crimes of Love is the first. The story revolves around the main character, Anurag. Anurag is dealing with the insecurity of a failing marriage, the lack of closure from a romantic past, the conflict between judgment and desires while dealing with the possibility of an extramarital affair, and the burden of knowledge about an ocean of crimes. The resultant insomnia was imperative, but he develops a dealing mechanism by starting to write down his recollections in a diary. The book takes readers on a journey to find out whether Anurag can put his inner demons to rest.
