The auction will be on Friday, September 21, at City View at Metreon, 135 Fourth Street, in San Francisco. The VIP reception is at 5:30 p.m., with general admission at 6 p.m., where sumptuous hors d’oeuvres and cocktails will be on hand. Over 800 supporters, art patrons and community philanthropists participate in this much-anticipated event.

Klein’s awe-inspiring artwork is a unique shot of the Bay Bridge, taken just three days after the new section was completed. The glossy print is on metal and measures 30 inches wide by 20 inches high.

Klein, who participates with ArtSpan, has had several showings throughout the city. His work is featured at www.turningart.com/artists/artist-david-klein. He originally studied film, theatre arts and philosophy at San Francisco State University, and pursued a career in acting after graduation. After a few productions, his career path turned toward real estate as he focused on his family.

Always an amateur photographer, Klein continued to study photography and art at City College and returned to acting with some degree of success including the lead in a Biography Channel TV program. His art path has continued to flourish along with his real estate profession. Through his most recent connections in the art world, he was drawn to contribute to the Art for AIDS program.

The Art for AIDS event benefits the UCSF Alliance Health Project, which was established in 1984 to support the mental health and wellness of the LBGTQ community in leading healthy and purposeful lives. AHP is one of the longest-running mental health organizations in the world for people with HIV- and LBGTQ-related concerns.

“Blending the art world with the world of real estate has been an extremely rewarding and fulfilling labor of love,” remarked Klein. “I’ve met some amazing people from both avenues, many of them who crossover seamlessly from one to the other.”
