Project HOPE Celebrates 60 Years with Launch of New Brand Identity

Millwood, VA, Sept. 04, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Project HOPE today announced the launch of a new brand identity, logo, and website highlighting the global health and humanitarian relief organization’s unique mission and a new era of pioneering programs and partnerships.

For 60 years, Project HOPE’s global team of experts, staff, and volunteers have worked with partners in government, the private sector, and local non-governmental organizations (NGOs), training one million health care workers and reaching tens of millions of individuals in need of health care—every day and in times of crisis, natural disasters, and epidemics.

“There have been significant changes in both the NGO and donor sectors, and it’s important for Project HOPE to increase global awareness of our work and expertise built over six decades. With that in mind, we’re delighted to launch our powerful new brand that truly conveys that sense of human connection that is at the center of everything we do to bring vitally needed care to those in need,” said Cinira Baldi, Vice President, Chief Development/Communications Officer at Project HOPE.

“Our new identity is based around the concept of hands and the human connection they represent, bringing us together in one global community. Hands that help, heal, and teach. Hands always have and will continue to bring HOPE,” Baldi said.

Project HOPE is active in more than 26 countries addressing infectious and noncommunicable diseases; disasters and health crises; maternal, neonatal, and child health; and the policies that impact how health care is delivered. Its legacy began in 1958 with the S.S. HOPE, the world’s first peacetime hospital ship, which spent years carrying doctors, nurses, and volunteers to those in need around the world, becoming a global symbol of goodwill.

Once the ship was decommissioned in 1974, Project HOPE continued to build the knowledge and skills of the global health workforce that was passed on to succeeding generations in a continuous cycle of health care development and humanitarian relief.

The new brand, logo, and website will showcase the organization’s renowned humanitarian work, reflecting Project HOPE’s pride in its past and readiness for the challenges of the future.

“We are incredibly enthusiastic about this exciting new era for Project HOPE. We look back with pride on our legacy of service to tens of millions of people across the globe and look forward to the efforts yet to come as we continue to work toward a world where everyone has access to the health care needed to reach life’s full potential,” said Baldi.
