Australian Events announces inaugural CARE EXPO showcasing over 100 exhibitors in the care and disability sector

BRISBANE, QLD, AUSTRALIA, June 14, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Australian Events has announced the inaugural Care Expo will take place from September 14-15 at Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre and showcase over 100 exhibitors that provide our special needs population with the products and services they need for everyday life.

In a first for Queensland, Care Expo will encompass a wide range of special needs from physical, intellectual and aged, to everyday ailments including anxiety, depression and PTSD.

Event Director, Bob Carroll, says the 2018 Care Expo was designed for carers and care providers who are sourcing information on products and services in the health and wellbeing sector, or for those that simply want to know what’s new and available in the care sector.

“Care Expo will bring together a diverse range of over 100 exhibitors including community services, not-for-profits, as well as big and small businesses that includes everything from travel providers for people with a disability to national hearing and healthcare providers,” says Carroll.

“They will all be presenting their products and services as well as showcasing the latest in technology and innovation in the care industry.”

Also earmarked for the event are a number of guest speakers, presentations, and demonstrations, all designed to provide further knowledge and assistance.

Ambassador for the inaugural Care Expo is Major Glenn Todhunter who will share his unique and inspiring story. In 1995, Todhunter tragically lost his legs in a training flight crash, but quickly rebuilt his life to become the first double amputee aviator in the history of the Australian Defence Force. He now proudly works for the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia, South Eastern Section as their head of Flight Training.

The event will also provide a forum for carers and not-for-profit agencies suffering from ‘NDIS frustration syndrome’ to hear the latest on the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Guest speakers will cut through the confusion and provide real answers on the funding and support available.

Care Expo has been adapted from Care Central Expo which was a one-day mid-week event with a focus on disability. With their expertise in events, Australian Events has been tasked with elevating the expo to encompass a much wider range of special needs and take it to a bigger audience. The event is timely with the rollout of the NDIS scheme across Queensland.

Entry is free for attendees if they pre-register via the event website http://careexpo.com.au/community/. If attendees are unable to access the online registration prior they will be able to do so at the event.
