AMO’s Jay Wrobel and 50001 Ready Navigator Recognized by Energy Manager Today

Last month, Energy Manager Today announced the winners of its 2018 product and project awards, which recognize people, products, and projects that are leading the way in energy management. Advanced Manufacturing Office (AMO) Technical Partnerships Program Manager Jay Wrobel was named one of Energy Manager Today's 75 Honorees and AMO's 50001 Navigator Ready tool was selected as a Product of the Year.

The Energy Manager Today 75 is a recognition program developed and run by the Environment and Energy Leaders Institute. The honorees are recognized for driving the energy management industry forward. Mr. Wrobel has over 15 years of experience in the energy, efficiency, and sustainability fields. Within AMO, he oversees major programs that help facilities and campuses reduce energy use, increase competitiveness, and develop trained workforces. A few of these programs include Better Plants, Industrial Assessment Centers, 50001 Ready and SEP, and Combined Heat and Power (CHP). He holds degrees from Boston University and the University of Chicago.

The Energy Manager Today Product and Project Awards recognize excellence in products, services, and projects that provide companies with environmental, sustainability, and energy management benefits. AMO’s 50001 Navigator Ready tool was selected for a Product of the Year award because it is helping to drive an industry-wide culture change in energy management by bringing ISO 50001 to the masses. The 50001 Ready Navigator is an online application that provides step-by-step guidance for implementing and maintaining an energy management system in conformance with the ISO 50001 Energy Management System Standard. Through a series of 25 tasks, the Navigator lays out the concepts, requirements, and best practices of ISO 50001 in plain language, translating them into actionable steps that can be understood by all levels of technical and decision-making staff. The 50001 Ready Navigator was one of only seven products that received the “Product of the Year” recognition from Energy Manager Today.
