Ontario Libertarian Candidate, Jeff Harris, Will Be Giving Out Cash Voters in Orangeville

Who says politics can't be fun?

Great being able to meet and talk with residents of Shelburne

Trying to spread the Libertarian message one lawn sign at a time

In true Libertarian fashion, Jeff Harris will be giving out money to voters - not taxpayer money - his own money. And, he will do it before being elected.

Politics as usual, doesn’t have to be the usual. I believe that working together, we can change the political system and have some fun doing it!”
— Jeff Harris
ORANGEVILLE, ONTARIO, CANADA, May 28, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- On Sunday June 3rd, at 1pm in downtown Orangeville, Libertarian Candidate, Jeff Harris, will be giving out cash to voters in his Dufferin-Caledon riding.

"With a Libertarian government, people will pay less in taxes and as a result have more money left their pockets. I want voters to know how that feels - now, before the election", says Harris

"We've all become accustomed to politicians asking us for more money", continues Harris. "We’re used to politicians promising to do all kinds of things for us after they get elected - but they rarely follow though on their promises. That's why I thought it was important to do something for voters before being elected."

Ontario Libertarian candidate, Jeff Harris, answers questions about his pre-election cash giveaway.

Q. Is this legal?
A. Who knows? Ontario has more than 380,000 regulations. It’s possible that one of those regulations says that you can’t give away your own money. The only way to know for sure would be to hire a lawyer to get an opinion. However, after the legal fees were paid, there likely wouldn’t be any money left to give away. That’s the problem with excessive regulations and that's something that I intend to fix, once elected.

Q. How much money are you giving away?
A. The amount of money given away will depend on the number of people who come out. I am also limited by campaign finance laws as to the total amount that I can give out. However, I can tell you that 20 dollar bills and 50 dollars bills will be involved. It should be a lot of fun!

Q. Where will we be able to find you?
A. You will find me, wearing a blue suit and carrying a big bunch of yellow balloons, on the opposite side of the street from the Orangeville Town Hall (located at 87 Broadway, Orangeville, ON L9W 1K1).

Q. Do I have to be a registered voter to participate?
A. No. I'm not buying votes - just having some fun.

Q. Do I have to live in the Dufferin-Caledon riding?
A. No. If you live outside the riding I’m still happy to see you and you can participate - just like anyone else. And, while you are here, you can check out some of the unique stores and art galleries that we have in downtown Orangeville. If you haven't been here before, it's definitely worth a visit.

Q. Why are you doing this?
A. The biggest challenge Libertarian candidates like myself have is getting in front of enough people to get our message out. A lot of people don’t really know much about the Libertarian Party. I want them to know that Libertarians are "fiscally conservative and socially liberal". We have a common-sense platform: Balanced Budgets, Lower Taxes, Lower Hydro Rates and Quicker Access to Healthcare.

I hope that people will come out to hear that message in person.
