Online brokerage hosts JA Dollars with Sense program for local community students as part of their commitment to financial education

TORONTO, April 20, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On April 19, seventy-five Toronto-area youth spent the day learning about the value of money, financial independence and how to start investing for their future.  More than 15 volunteers from Canada’s fastest growing online brokerage, Questrade (www.questrade.com) hosted the group of eager grade seven students from Amesbury Middle School in North York, as the company sponsored JA Central Ontario’s financial literacy day event, the JA Dollars with Sense program.  The goal of the compelling initiative is to help teach students how to make smart financial decisions and, ultimately, achieve success in both work and life.

Dollars with Sense is a fun and interactive, hands-on program that helps students develop financial skills.  Through this program, students learn about budgeting, money and credit management, saving and investing.
