Trayt Unveils Application to Improve Diagnosis, Treatment and Quality of Life for Patients with Autism, ADHD and Neurodevelopmental Disorders

Big Data and Analytics Platform Measures Efficacy of Interventions and Engages the Entire System of Care

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., April 18, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Trayt, the data analytics company with a platform for patients with neurodevelopmental and brain disorders, today announced the public availability of its mobile application. The application enables patients and caretakers to track behavioral and non-behavioral symptoms through its patent pending comorbid rating scale and to accurately measure effectiveness of their treatments. The data is then analyzed and presented in a simple dashboard with progress reports and personalized, actionable insights.

Patients with brain-based disorders are often diagnosed and treated by disjointed care teams that base decisions on a narrow set of symptoms which do not address the connections between the brain and body. The lack of visibility into the patient’s overlapping conditions and treatments has resulted in the inability to optimize care for the unique needs of each patient. To address this issue, Trayt has combined diagnostic manuals and evidence-based research to create the first comorbid assessment rating scale and analytic engine. By standardizing measurement with a holistic view into all factors contributing to outcomes, there will be significant improvement in outcomes and reduction in costs across the entire system of healthcare.

“When a patient visits a doctor, they should be confident in the diagnosis and treatment they receive. However, patients with neurodevelopmental and brain disorders will often have additional, overlapping conditions. When one treatment is combined with another while addressing multiple diagnoses, there is always a risk of unknown adverse reactions,” said Victor Camlek, principal analyst, Transformational Health, Frost & Sullivan. “The ability to collect real data of proven, individualized treatments in these scenarios through a platform like Trayt’s will transform how patient care is delivered now and into the future.”

“As a parent of a child with a multi-system neurological disorder, I’ve experienced firsthand the defeated feeling of walking out of a doctor’s appointment after being redirected time and time again to see a new physician to treat a new symptom,” said Malekeh Amini, founder and CEO of Trayt. “Instead of considering whether these conditions were related or causal, they were treated individually and the coordination and care in between was completely left up to me. Trayt was designed to treat patients holistically and to date, our team has received tremendous support from the medical community and from users in our pilot program; a true testament to the significance of the challenges we are trying to solve and the ability of our solution to address those challenges. The public launch of our application is an incredible milestone towards achieving our goal of transforming the system of care in brain-based disorders and improving patient outcomes.”

Testimonials from Medical Practitioners

  • “I’ve seen the frustration on parents’ faces when their children are receiving fragmented care from different specialists. To address this, the medical field requires access to real world, proven data that can demonstrate how children with multiple diagnoses should be treated,” said Carl Feinstein, M.D., chief medical officer, Trayt; professor emeritus, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Stanford University; and clinical professor, Psychiatry, UC Riverside School of Medicine. “With access to more sophisticated data analytics and bioinformatics capabilities, the medical field is ripe for innovation and integration. Parents should feel empowered to take control and champion the personalized care of their children.”
  • “The work that Trayt is doing has enormous potential for facilitating one of the ongoing problems of patient care: obtaining accurate, timely and relevant information about patient behavior in response to interventions,” said Dr. Glen Elliott, medical director at Children’s Health Council. “The system needs to be user-friendly, patient-specific and confidential yet easily accessed. Trayt’s team of parents, professionals and experts in application design have taken all of those requirements and more into account.”

Trayt will be exhibiting at the EdRev Expo at AT&T Park in San Francisco on April 21. The EdRev Expo is an event that focuses on students with learning and attention differences, often compounded by anxiety and depression. The event brings together the whole community of students, parents, educators and professionals to share experiences and resources. To register for the EdRev Expo, please click here.
