10,000 Black Men March against Trump/also to March down U Street to protest gentrification (Saturday April 21)

WASHINGTON, DC, USA, April 11, 2018 / -- Organizers of the 10,000 Black Men's March (04.21.18) are holding a 12 Noon news conference at Shiloh Baptist Church to explain next week’s events.

On Saturday April 21, a massive Black Rights rally will take place on Donald Trump's door at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. The gathering time is 11 am. Rally begins at 1 pm.

The 10,000 Black Men's March will feature thousands of participants from at least 30 states. The 1 pm – 6 pm rally at the White House will feature a major stage in Lafayette Park.

Speakers are expected to address and condemn the racism and hostile policies of Donald Trump; to address Trump's support of police brutality and excessive force; denounce violence in the Black community and to announce plans for self-improvement and self-determination. Organizers are calling for Trump’s removal from office.

Following the mass rally at 6 pm, 10,000 Black men will march from the White House, up 14th Street NW and down U Street NW to the campus of Howard University to object to gentrification/Black depopulation and to promote self-determination for African Americans.

March speakers include noted author and Professor Dr. Cornel West, Host and Black Lawyers for Justice President Malik Z. Shabazz, Esq., activists from 30 states, members of the Congressional Black Caucus, Black Lives Matter, NAACP and others.

The April 21 White House rally is the highlight of the 5-day National Black Men's Convention which takes place April 18-22 at Historic Shiloh Baptist Church (1500 9th Street NW D.C.)
