Adventist Health Selects Andrew Jahn to Lead Southern California Region as President

West Coast faith-based, nonprofit integrated health system promotes Jahn from Northern California leadership position to fill the role left vacant after the retirement of Beth Zachary

ROSEVILLE, Calif., Feb. 20, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Adventist Health—a faith-based, nonprofit integrated health system serving more than 75 communities in California, Oregon and Hawaii—today announced the appointment of Andrew Jahn to president of the Adventist Health Southern California Region. Jahn previously served as the president and chief executive officer of Adventist Health Sonora and affiliated clinics in Northern California. Jahn will assume his new duties full-time on February 28, 2018 and report to Bill Wing, President of Adventist Health.

Prior to this assignment, Jahn served as president and CEO of Adventist Health Sonora in Sonora, Calif., since 2013, overseeing a 152-bed acute care hospital and its network of 30 hospital-based rural health clinics, cancer center, skilled nursing facility, outpatient surgery center and wellness programs serving the rural communities of Tuolumne, Calaveras and Mariposa counties. He previously served as vice president and CFO at Adventist Health Sonora, where he managed the hospital’s $250 million operating budget and oversaw business development, growth and acquisitions with direct oversight of key hospital service lines. Jahn has served in key roles in other health care facilities including director of finance at Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas, and assistant to the CFO of Florida Hospital in Orlando, Florida.

Jahn is a member of the Union College Advisory Board, Chair elect of the Hospital Council of Northern California, Board Member and Trustee for the California Hospital Association, and serves on the executive board of the Tuolumne County Business Council. Jahn holds a bachelor of Science from Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Central Florida in Orlando.

Jahn and his family will be relocating to Southern California in the coming months and are looking forward to being an active part of the community.
