FHLBank San Francisco Names Two to Affordable Housing Advisory Council and Reappoints Two Current Members

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco is pleased to announce the appointment of David Paull and Anne Wilson to its Affordable Housing Advisory Council (AHAC) and the reappointment of two current AHAC members, Stephen L. Hastings and Tunua Thrash-Ntuk.

The 15-member AHAC provides the Bank with expert guidance on affordable housing and economic development issues and helps shape its community grant and credit programs.

New AHAC members are:

David Paull, Director of Real Estate, Nevada HAND, Las Vegas, Nevada
David Paull is the director of real estate development for Nevada HAND, a nonprofit that has provided affordable housing and supportive services to working families and seniors on fixed incomes in Southern Nevada for 25 years. He has more than 14 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, development, and asset management. Since joining Nevada HAND in 2011, Mr. Paull has overseen the development of 12 new affordable housing communities totaling over $195 million. In addition, he oversees portfolio financing and acquisitions. Prior to joining Nevada HAND, he held positions with Bixby Land Company and The Irvine Company.

Mr. Paull currently serves on the board of Nevada’s Interagency Council on Homelessness. He is a graduate of the Corporation for Supportive Housing’s Supportive Housing Institute and received a B.A. in Business Administration from Concordia University Irvine in California.

Anne Wilson, Senior Vice President, Housing and Real Estate Development, Community HousingWorks, San Diego, California
Anne Wilson joined Community HousingWorks (CHW) in 2002. Managing a team of 15, she is responsible for real estate development, finance, and strategy. She has overseen the residential and mixed-use development of over 2,400 of CHW’s 3,030 apartments, including new construction, acquisition, and preservation projects. Prior to joining CHW, she was the founding director for the San Diego programs of both the Local Initiatives Support Corporation and the Corporation for Supportive Housing. Her experience includes eight years with the City of Boston’s Redevelopment Agency and Neighborhood Development Division.

Ms. Wilson is recognized as a leader in affordable housing development nationwide, is a member of the Urban Land Institute, and has served multiple terms on the boards of directors of Housing California and the San Diego Housing Federation. She received her Master’s in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she held a fellowship at the Center for Real Estate Development.

Reappointed AHAC members are:

Tunua Thrash-Ntuk, Executive Director, Local Initiatives Support Corporation, Los Angeles, California
Tunua Thrash-Ntuk is the executive director of Los Angeles Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC). She is a seasoned community and economic development practitioner with more than 15 years of nonprofit and private sector experience. She has led several important urban initiatives in Los Angeles focused on affordable housing and commercial development. Prior to joining LISC, she was executive director of West Angeles Community Development Corporation, where she was responsible for the asset management and oversight of a real estate portfolio valued at $150 million.

Ms. Thrash-Ntuk serves on the board or advisory board of many organizations, including Housing California, Los Angeles’ HHH Citizens Oversight Committee, Southern California Edison’s Consumer Advisory Panel, Greenlining Institute, Union Bank’s Community Advisory Board, Frontier Communications Community Advisory Board, and the Los Angeles Development Fund, which is the City of Los Angeles’ New Market Tax Credit implementation group.

Stephen L. Hastings, Director Real Estate Services, Foundation for Senior Living, Phoenix, Arizona
As director of real estate services for the Foundation for Senior Living (FSL), Stephen Hastings directs a full-service real estate department providing comprehensive services, including project feasibility, predevelopment, acquisition, financing, new construction, remodeling, and operations. During his tenure, FSL has expanded its affordable housing inventory with over 900 units of safe, energy-efficient, green construction, affordable, subsidized, and service-enriched housing.

Mr. Hastings has served on numerous community boards, including the City of Phoenix Neighborhood and Housing Committee, Childhelp Bridge Board, and Collaborative Refugee Committee. He earned a degree in Real Estate and Land Use Economics from Wichita State University and was trained in single-family and multifamily appraisal by the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers.
