Head of State already in Luanda after Davos meeting
Luanda, ANGOLA, January 25 - The Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, arrived Monday morning in Luanda, after having attended as a guest, on Tuesday and Wednesday, the World Economic Forum in Davos City, Switzerland, which will end this weekend. ,
At the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, in Luanda, the Head of State was welcomed back home by the Vice President, Bornito de Sousa, the Parliament Speaker, Fernando Dias dos Santos, government officials and other state personalities.
While in Davos, João Lourenço spoke at the panel on the issue of energetic development in the African continent under the theme “Speeding up access to energy in Africa”.
The Angolan President also held several work encounters, with highlight on the meeting with the Brazilian President, Michel Temer, the Portuguese Premier, António Costa, and the general director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Christine Lagarde.
This is the first time an Angolan Head of State attends such a forum, which brings together about three thousand personalities from hundreds of countries.
The Head of State was accompanied by the First Lady, Ana Dias Lourenço, as well as by a delegation made up of Cabinet ministers and presidential aides.
